Description

This small Persian Senneh cushion kilim features a geometric medallion composition woven through finely organized tribal ornamentation and balanced tonal contrast.

The palette combines jet black, deep madder red, dusty teal, and warm ivory layered with soft sage-green and faded coral accents distributed throughout the composition.

The overall atmosphere feels refined, graphic, and richly textile-oriented while preserving the direct tribal structure associated with Senneh flatweaving traditions.

At the center of the composition appears a medallion structure whose field is woven in deep red tonalities and framed by darker surrounding geometric organization.

Across the surface, dense geometric motifs repeat rhythmically through disciplined tribal arrangement while preserving the freer handmade irregularity characteristic of village weaving.

Dusty teal sections soften the darker palette and introduce cooler atmospheric movement within the composition.

Warm ivory highlights create visual separation between the denser geometric structures and reinforce the clarity of the medallion organization.

The smaller scale and tightly organized structure suggest that pieces woven in this format were commonly intended for use as tribal cushions or backrest textiles.

Visible abrash movement softens transitions between the black, teal, and red tonal areas and reinforces the handmade dyeing atmosphere of the kilim.

Because the piece is fully flatwoven and reversible, both sides can be used while preserving the precision of the geometric tribal structure.

The interaction between the dusty teal palette, jet-black framing, red medallion field, and dense geometric ornamentation creates refined Kurdish tribal atmosphere with strong decorative textile presence.

This piece stands out for its compact Senneh geometry, cushion-format structure, and balanced dusty teal tribal palette.
