Description

This vintage Persian Kermanshah kilim features a bold symmetrical geometric composition built through the expansion and repetition of pixel-like square motifs across the flatwoven surface.

The palette combines madder red tonalities with deep indigo structure and burnt-orange accents layered throughout the composition.

The repeated square-based geometry generates strong rhythmic movement while preserving the balanced symmetry characteristic of Persian tribal flatweaving traditions.

The overall atmosphere feels bold, graphic, and tribal while maintaining the handmade irregularity associated with nomadic weaving structures.

The composition emerges entirely through the repetition and expansion of small square-like geometric units that gradually build the larger tribal pattern across the kilim.

Subtle tonal interaction between the saturated madder-red field areas and darker indigo sections creates strong visual contrast throughout the geometric composition.

All motifs and structural elements remain geometric and direct, reflecting the visual language associated with traditional Kermanshah tribal textiles.

The black border bands, known as selvage edges, are woven with goat hair, traditionally used in nomadic weaving to strengthen the structure and improve durability.

Because the kilim is fully flatwoven and reversible, both sides can be used while preserving the clarity of the geometric tribal motifs.

The interaction between the madder-red palette, deep indigo structure, burnt-orange accents, square-based geometry, and goat-hair selvage creates strong handmade tribal decorative atmosphere with clear Kermanshah textile identity.

This piece stands out for its bold symmetrical composition, pixel-like geometric construction, and refined handmade tribal character.
