Description

This antique Persian Bijar kilim features a geometric tribal composition arranged through rhythmic structural movement across the flatwoven surface.

The palette combines burgundy madder red tonalities with deep indigo structure and emerald-green accents layered throughout the composition.

Visible abrash movement creates softened tonal transitions and reinforces the handmade dyeing character of the kilim.

The overall atmosphere feels warm, lively, and deeply nomadic while preserving the balanced handmade geometry characteristic of antique Bijar flatweaving traditions.

The rhythmic geometric structure generates layered textural movement across the surface and reinforces the tactile woven quality of the composition.

Subtle tonal interaction between the saturated madder-red areas and darker indigo structure creates strong visual depth throughout the tribal design.

Emerald-green accents introduce additional contrast within the warmer palette and create brighter moments of visual movement across the composition.

All motifs and structural elements remain geometric and direct, reflecting the visual language associated with Persian tribal flatwoven textiles.

The selvage edges are woven with goat hair, traditionally used to strengthen nomadic kilim structures and improve long-term durability.

Because the kilim is fully flatwoven and reversible, both sides can be used while preserving the clarity of the geometric tribal composition.

The interaction between the burgundy madder-red palette, deep indigo structure, emerald-green accents, abrash texture, and rhythmic geometric movement creates richly layered nomadic decorative atmosphere with clear Bijar textile identity.

This piece stands out for its saturated tribal palette, textural rhythmic structure, collectible handmade quality, and strong antique Persian nomadic character.
