Description

This semi-antique Persian Senneh kilim features a softly ceremonial medallion composition woven through refined geometric ornamentation and balanced tribal rhythm.

The palette combines warm ivory, oxidized black, dusty coral tonalities, and soft pistachio-green accents layered throughout the composition.

The overall atmosphere feels calm, textile-oriented, and quietly ceremonial while preserving the disciplined tribal structure associated with Senneh flatweaving traditions.

At the center of the composition appears a medallion structure containing a motif traditionally recognized as a flowering plant or floral boteh form.

Surrounding the medallion, the darker oxidized-black field contains an abstract geometric flower motif woven through softened tribal drawing.

Within the upper and lower rows of the field, abstract birds with open wings appear arranged rhythmically across the composition.

These simplified bird motifs introduce folkloric movement and symbolic tribal character into the otherwise highly geometric structure.

Along the geometric borders, repeated floral motifs create continuous decorative rhythm and visually frame the central composition.

The geometric drawing throughout the kilim remains softened and lightly etched rather than sharply angular, reinforcing the refined atmospheric quality of the piece.

Visible abrash movement softens transitions between the ivory, black, coral, and pistachio tonal areas while reinforcing the handmade dyeing atmosphere of the weaving.

Because the piece is fully flatwoven and reversible, both sides can be used while preserving the precision of the tribal geometric structure.

The interaction between the oxidized-black field, floral medallion, abstract bird motifs, and softened coral-and-pistachio palette creates refined tribal atmosphere with strong decorative textile presence.

This piece stands out for its ceremonial medallion structure, symbolic bird-and-flower imagery, and balanced Senneh geometric refinement.
