Description

This antique Persian Shahsavan kilim features a refined geometric tribal composition built around a continuous chain of hexagonal medallions arranged across a charcoal-black field.

The palette combines dusty plum rose tonalities, dark espresso brown, burnt saffron, and muted mauve accents layered throughout the flatwoven surface.

The hexagonal medallions woven in dusty plum-rose tones create strong rhythmic movement across the darker field structure.

Numerous small abstract geometric motifs appear throughout the composition, forming dense symbolic visual texture characteristic of Shahsavan tribal weaving traditions.

All motifs and structural elements remain geometric and abstract, reflecting the visual language associated with Persian nomadic flatwoven textiles.

The overall atmosphere feels mysterious, symbolic, and deeply collectible while preserving the balanced handmade rhythm characteristic of antique tribal weaving.

The kilim is entirely wool woven and preserves the tactile handmade quality associated with traditional Shahsavan nomadic weaving practices.

Subtle tonal movement between the charcoal-black ground and the plum-rose medallions creates softened visual depth throughout the composition.

The interaction between the smoky plum palette, espresso-brown tonalities, saffron accents, and dense geometric symbolism creates rich tribal decorative atmosphere with strong Shahsavan textile identity.

This piece stands out for its chained hexagonal medallion composition, fine all-wool structure, symbolic geometric density, and highly collectible antique tribal character.
