Description

This vintage Persian Shahsavan kilim features a geometric horizontal striped composition built through dark nomadic tribal structure.

The palette combines oxblood red, deep brick red, dark indigo navy, muted blue-grey tones, salt-blue tonalities, and soft coral-red accents layered across the flatwoven surface.

Heavy abrash movement creates smoky tonal transitions throughout the composition and reinforces the raw handmade dyeing texture of the kilim.

The overall atmosphere feels dark, moody, and minimal while preserving the balanced geometric rhythm associated with Shahsavan tribal flatweaving traditions.

The horizontal striped arrangement creates broad directional movement across the surface while maintaining the simplicity of the geometric composition.

Subtle tonal variation between the darker indigo and red field areas softens sections of the composition and creates faded atmospheric depth throughout the kilim.

All motifs and structural lines remain geometric and direct, reflecting the visual language characteristic of traditional Iranian nomadic flatwoven textiles.

The interaction between the oxblood-red palette, salt-blue tonalities, smoky abrash texture, muted blue-grey areas, and softened coral accents creates strong nomadic decorative atmosphere with clear Shahsavan textile identity.

This piece stands out for its dark geometric composition, heavily abrash surface, oxblood-and-salt-blue palette, and raw tribal minimalism characteristic of Persian Shahsavan kilim weaving.
