Description

This vintage Persian Senneh kilim cushion was originally woven together with a matching companion piece on the same loom for use as a traditional tribal backrest or cushion panel.
Unlike its pair, this example features an ivory-centered medallion that creates stronger contrast within the dense geometric composition.
The kilim is woven through extremely fine flatweave technique with tightly organized abstract tribal ornamentation distributed across the surface.
The palette combines dusty rose pink, faded mauve, muted olive-green touches, soft peach accents, and ivory tonal highlights layered through softened tribal movement.
Across the composition, geometric motifs repeat in dense rhythmic organization while preserving the disciplined decorative structure associated with Senneh weaving traditions.
The ivory-centered medallion visually anchors the composition and creates additional clarity within the densely ornamented field.
Visible abrash movement softens transitions between the mauve, dusty rose, and ivory tonal areas and reinforces the handmade dyeing atmosphere of the kilim.
Because the piece is fully flatwoven and reversible, both sides can be used while preserving the clarity of the geometric tribal structure.
The interaction between the ivory-centered medallion, faded mauve palette, muted olive accents, and dense geometric detailing creates refined tribal atmosphere with strong Kurdish decorative identity.
This piece stands out for its ivory medallion structure, fine Senneh weave density, and traditional tribal cushion-format composition.
